Musical instrument museum
We moved from our Hotel Costanza to join the tour group Hotel - even though we opted out of the tour activities/ program while the Group was in Barcelona. We continued doing our own "things".
We went to the Museum of Music for a half an hour guided tour of their guitar collection, which is one of the biggest and most respected in the world, followed by a half hour classical guitar concert.
In short the tour was paradise for guitar tragics like me, who find the history of the evolution of machine heads, support struts, and string tension, a source of endless interest and wonder.
The concert after was very special. There were only six of us there, and the playing was superb; some of my favourite pieces played with great skill and beauty.
Julie was wonderful. She took photos for me whilst the tour was on.
Also in a way the day balanced out. Just outside the museum, Julie found a power relay sub station (or something like that) with a state of the art “you beaut” solar energy roof. …. Paradise!
